Smartbond Adhesive is specially designed to adhere Krytonite™ Swelling Waterstop to concrete construction joints and penetrations that require waterproofing. Smartbond Adhesive has incredible bonding strength, even on damp concrete surfaces, and can be used in all seasons.

Applications

Basic Application Procedures: Apply a thick bead of adhesive to the concrete surface where the Krytonite is to be installed. There must be enough adhesive so that when the Krytonite strip is pressed into the adhesive it squeezes out from the sides and does not leave any void between the Krytonite strip and the concrete. Typical adhesive coverage is 8–10m (26-32ft.) per tube with a bead size of 6mm (1/4in.). Rough surfaces will require more adhesive. Immediately press the Krytonite strip into the adhesive – unrolling the coil as you progress. Do not allow time for the adhesive to form a skin. Allow adhesive to dry before pouring concrete.
